LEGACY OF ADOLF HITLER

- When people think of Hitler a lot of them think about a horrible man who killed millions of people. But, what many forget is how Hitler got to power in the first place; his leadership skills. After WW1 and the Treaty of Versailles, Germany was in a depression like no other.

- Once Hitler took control of Germany he used his power to pull Germany to the top. He did this by convincing the German people that they were meant to be on top of every other country. But, like every leader who rises to extreme power in a short amount of time, it gets to their head. Hitler became obsessed, controlling, and too prideful in himself; this led to the demise of Germany in the war. He could have left a world where Germany was on top of many, but not all; but he just couldn't do that he wanted more.

- Hitler and his men left a big impact on the world; people look back at their reign and the war and think about not letting it happen again. Schools around the world focus on the Holocaust and teach kids at a young age what can happen to a world that isn't prepared.

- In memory of all those who suffered from the Holocaust and those who were affected by it, many memorials have been made all across the world.

- Hitlers caused the Holocaust to occur in a lot of different parts of Europe. The impact on the world was like no other. Countries who weren't even involved honored the victims of the Holocaust.

- Every person with a standard education knows the name Hitler and everything that he did.

The pictures below are just some of the memorials that are all around the world.

The impact of Adolf Hitler was a huge one. It affected millions from the 1940’s until now. The work of Hitler affected many Jews and Holocaust survivors that live to tell their incredible stories. There are many people who have been touched by the experiences of many jews who survived, including two Green Bay residents who visited the Holocaust Museum a few summers ago. They heard the story of Manya Friedman which was just one of many survivors left by the impact of Hitler’s incredible legacy. Her entire family lost their lives in the concentration camps, and she herself visited three.

“Meeting Manya Friedman put a face to the story, a real person to the tragedy, and tears to the loss.  It was the most powerful experience of my life.  Shortly after meeting Manya, we finished our tour of the Holocaust Museum, which took us through an actual train car used to transport Jews to the camps. To stand in there made me cry; you could hear the cries, feel the sorrow, almost smell the sadness.”   - Karie Wagner

So many years later, the effects of one man has the power to touch the hearts of many decades later. One site people go to to learn of the Holocaust and Hitler’s reign is the Holocaust Memorial museums which are located in many cities in America. In these museums, one can see portraits of Holocaust victims, spared shoes and personal items of victims. and other various things. It’s common for one to hear horror stories about the Holocaust and World War 2, but to see it first hand leaves another kind of impact on a person. This is possibly the most effective form of communicating the impact of Adolf Hitler unto the public, and a way of preserving the work he did. This is Hitler’s legacy, and it is very much present in everyday life.
